How does sun cause wrinkle formation?
Exposure to sun is known to induce premature aging and wrinkle formation. The rays of the sun contain ultraviolet radiation, which tends to speed up the natural process of aging. The UV light in the sun penetrates the skin and causes breakdown of elastin and fat deposits. This leads to loss of skin tone, lack of support and skin fragility. As the connective tissues get damaged, the skin starts to sag and wrinkles become prominent. This can all be avoided by not going out in the sun from 10 am to 4 pm. If one does go out, wearing sunscreen and protective garments is recommended.
