For anti aging during menopause, you've got to do a few things to fight the risk of getting breast cancer. Women tend to gain weight during menopause which increases their risk of breast cancer. Menopause includes the symptoms of sleep disturbances, hot flashes, dry skin and mood changes all contribute to a lowered quality of life for many women. Weight gain during menopause is also an issue for most women and also a major problem because the risk factor for breast cancer increases because of this.

The cause of menopause weight gain is directly related hormone imbalances and the loss of hormones. This weight gain occurs first in the waist and abdominal area. Women in menopause also appear to generally reduce the amount of exercise they get and this contributes to the problem. Compounding this, muscle mass declines as you age and is replaced by fat. We all know that muscle burns more calories than fat. Losing muscle mass contributes to the weight gain of fat. This is not a healthy place to be.

Anti Aging Tips on a Budget

In the world of anti aging, we are learning about so many products and services but they are all costing a small fortune. In the current recession, who has the money to splurge on expensive moisturizers? Everybody is hunting for a bargain during these uncertain economic times. Still, you don’t want to stop caring for your skin as it ages. Heavens, no! You should still take care of yourself, even though money is tight.

I decided to write about a couple of cheap anti aging tips for you. There are also good products available on the market that won’t cost you a small fortune to stock your bathroom with beauty products.

Hair:

Decide on a classic hairstyle that suits you, find a photo of someone with the hairstyle you want and instead of having your hair cut in an expensive salon, seek out a place that offers low prices on hair cuts.

Color your own hair and cover your grays with Nice ‘n Easy Solutions. Developed to give natural coverage to your grays – even if you are 50% or more gray and you get salon color results on your hair. Find the color that works for you and stick with it each time you color your hair.

Make up Remover, Hair Treatment, bath oil:

I hate to share this trick because everyone will go out and buy some and the price might go up. First of all, finish up that expensive make up remover, but save the bottle. Now, I have two cheap anti aging tips for you. If you want to go natural, use extra virgin olive oil to remove your make up. Not only is olive oil a necessary component in your diet to prevent the diseases of aging, it is a fabulous moisturizer, hair treatment and makeup remover. Fill up that left over make up remover bottle with olive oil and start using it in the bathroom.

Another cheap anti-aging tip – do what stunner Sophia Loren does – and she is a beauty still 74 years old. Not only does she eat the Mediterranean diet, but she occasionally uses olive oil as a bath oil. It is a great tool to keep your skin smooth and soft. This is one of the best natural anti aging skin care tips I know of.

If you don’t need to use a natural product, another cheap anti-aging tip is to use baby oil as a makeup remover. It does the trick and you can also use it in the bath as a bath oil and for shaving your legs. Super moisturizing.

Anti aging lip care:

Keep your skin soft by using Vaseline ointment on your lips. This is one of the cheapest best anti aging tips I can give you for your lips. A jar cost so little and lasts you forever.
Teeth Whitening

I used Crest Whitestrips Renewal Age-Defying Strips on my teeth. First I went to the dentist and had my teeth totally cleaned. Then I used the product for the 10 days. Yes, it whitened my teeth and cost so much less than if I had the service done at the dentist. It left my teeth whiter than they had been in 20 years.

Anti aging Hair Care Tips:

For anti aging hair care tips, I find the Pantene line of products a great deal for the price. For thickening up thinning hair, Use the Pantene Pro-V Full & Thick collection. It’s full of vitamins and helps promote the look of fuller, thicker hair.

Body Wash:

Use Olay Age Defying Body Wash for your skin. It’s also a bargain price and gently cleans and nourishes the skin. It contains Vita Niacin which penetrates the surface of the skin and fights the dryness you experience as your skin ages. They promise younger looking skin in only seven days.

Anti aging Skin Care Tips:

For taking care of your skin, here is a product which is cheap and softens and moisturizes your skin. Olay Body Age Transforms Body Crème Serum, when used daily can fight the five signs of aging in the skin. Skin ages by becoming dry, dull, loses elasticity and the color becomes uneven. This great anti aging moisturizer leaves your skin soft and completely moisturized.

Anti aging tips for the face:

Olay makes some great products at bargain prices. Another great one to use for anti-aging is the Olay Definity Deep Penetrating Foaming Moisturizer. This product fights discoloration in the skin and dullness and will give results in just eight weeks.

Anti aging tips for Makeup:

Stop spending a fortune on makeup. Cheap makeup is the same as expensive makeup except for the packaging. You will get the same results. However, for foundation and pressed powder, Cover Girl has some cheap anti aging makeup products I highly recommend. Their Advanced Radiance Age-Defying liquid makeup which contains Olay skin care ingredients helps minimize wrinkles, imperfections and discoloration. Their pressed powder contains skin conditioning and brightening ingredients which helps combat dullness as we age.

In conclusion, you don’t have to spend a fortune to be beautiful and to fight the hands of time. There are lots of cheap anti aging products for you to use. Follow these anti aging tips, don’t smoke (that costs a fortune), drink red wine occasionally, exercise and eat right and you will be saving money on anti aging beauty products and fighting the aging process.

Tumeric- Super Spice that Make CAN You Look Young

There are many spices that have been touted to have anti aging properties but none has been more hyped up than Turmeric. Even though this spice has been around for centuries, very little is known about it.

Tumeric is a spice widely used in Indian cooking. The crushed power is readily available in most Indian stores. It is yellow in color and has a distinct smell. Besides cooking it is often used to dye clothes in the Orient. The stains caused by turmeric are very difficult to remove.

When turmeric is added to food, it brings a certain flavor. However, the right amount of tumeric should be added—too much and the food will not taste right.

Turmeric has been analyzed in the laboratory and found to contain many chemicals, the chief one with health benefits being curcumin. In the Orient, health care practitioners have used curcumin to combat various cancers and Alzheimer’s disease. Others claim that is may also possess anti inflammatory activity. Other ingredients found in fresh turmeric powder include vitamins, potassium and minerals.

Turmeric is widely used by the Chinese and Indians to treat a wide variety of digestive disorders, osteoarthritis, atherosclerosis, parasites, liver disease and open wounds.

However, recently there have been suggestions that turmeric may also possess anti aging benefits. Many health food stores sell turmeric in a pill and advocate it for skin rejuvenation and improving skin texture. There are many anecdotal reports that turmeric can delay the onset of aging and protect the skin against the sun. Unfortunately, all the positive benefits of turmeric are based only on individual reports. As far has as the skin is concerned, turmeric has been found to sooth the skin, decreases the itching and dryness in eczema and improves hydration. Some even compare its health benefits to aloe vera. Individuals who have used turmeric regularly point out the fact their skin is wrinkle free and smooth.

Turmeric is available as a powder, liquid or as tincture. Even though the product is relatively safe, excessive use has been known to result in peptic ulcers. Even though it can be used as a food flavoring agent, some alternative health care practitioners recommend taking turmeric on a daily basis to obtain the medical benefits.

Even though clinical trials are lacking to confirm the real benefits of turmeric, you can rest assured that with turmeric not only will your food taste great but if you are lucky, you will have a skin which is young and beautiful looking.

Turmeric powder is best bought as a powder and sells for less than $3-$4 per pound. Research has shown that turmeric is a best anti-aging tip to be added as a spice or supplement to your daily intake of nutritional supplements.

Red Wine- Is this the Fountain of Youth?

While everyone has been searching for an anti aging pill or developing a formulation of a cosmetic cream, Lo and Behold, one of the most potent anti aging chemicals has been found in one of men’s favorite beverage. Researchers believe that they may have found the fountain of youth in red wine. For decades it was not understood why individuals who drank red wine regularly showed very beautiful and youthful looking skin. At first, everyone thought that this was simply genes, or perhaps the food or the French Riviera or perhaps the French were simply lucky. Little did anyone suspect that it was the red wine.

A few years ago the ingredients in red wine were analyzed and found to contain a substance called Resveratrol. This agent has been extensively studied in the laboratory and found to be a natural anti oxidant. Other studies have shown that many life forms studied in the laboratory were prolonged when minute amounts of Resveratrol was added as a nutrient.

Resveratrol is commonly found in the skin of red grapes and functions as an anti fungal agent in the vineyards. During the fermentation process, the Resveratrol is preserved and remains functional.

How Resveratrol functions as an antiaging agent is not fully understood but there is strong belief that it limits the calorie intake. It is known that individuals who eat less, usually live long. With Resveratrol life extension has been seen in rodents, monkeys and other primates. When the calorie intake is lessened, the blood sugar and cholesterol levels decline, the blood pressure drops and there is excess mobilization of the fat deposits. And this scenario is evident in the French.

When it comes to humans, the French who drink red wine predominantly live a lot longer than most people around the world. These individuals also have much lesser cardiac disease than their American counterparts. And when the skin of these French individuals is examined, there is very little evidence of aging and wrinkles are non existent.

So should we all drink red wine?

Yes, but even among red wines the concentration of Resveratrol varies. Wines from Canada generally contain more of this ingredient than those bought from California. The reason is thought to be the increased moisture and humidity in the north. The increased humidity allows the fungus to thrive and thus grapes produce more Resveratrol to kill the fungus.

How much red wine to drink to produce healthy aging is not really known. Currently some experts recommend drinking one glass of wine on a daily basis.

So the next time you lift your Pinot Noir to a toast, remember, besides friendship and a good dinner, you are also gaining your youth with a glass of red wine.

The Magic of Copper Peptides as Anti Aging Agents

In the last decade, there has been a trend of adding copper peptides to many cosmetic creams to reverse aging. The manufacturers who add copper peptides to these creams also charge exorbitant amounts for the postulated anti – aging benefits. But does copper really work as an anti-aging cream?

Copper is a heavy metal and a decent anti oxidant. In experimental studies it has been shown to stimulate collagen synthesis and also has the ability to heal wounds. Copper is an essential element for collagen to form properly. A few clinical studies have shown that application of copper peptides can increase collagen synthesis. This was proven by performing biopsies of the skin. Copper was much more efficient than either vitamin C or Tretinoin at reversing wrinkles and lines on the face and neck.

Currently copper peptide formulations have been shown to erase fine lines, increase the tone of the skin by stimulating elastin synthesis and reduce skin sagging. Copper is also a potent anti oxidant and has been shown to protect the skin from many environmental conditions including extremes of cold and heat. Copper peptides have also been shown to retain water, thus maintaining the skin hydrated.

The daily recommended allowance of copper is about 2 mg per day. For the majority of individuals this is adequate and easily obtained from the diet. However, free copper does not easily get to the skin. Simply buying copper and applying a solution does not guarantee access to the deeper layers. The copper has to be specially formulated with peptides to ensure that it will penetrate the skin and reach the lower layers where it can stimulate the synthesis of collagen.

Today there are many types of copper peptide formulations for the improvement of skin. For those who want to treat the wrinkles and fine lines, Copper based products are available all over cyberspace. It is important to read the labels to ensure that copper peptides are present if you want a cream which as anti aging properties.

The prices of copper peptide based formulation are also expensive.

Finally, aging is a complex issue and there is no one mineral or element which can turn back time. While copper peptides may not be the ultimate panacea for aging, the creams will certainly bring back some youth and beauty

Growth Hormone –Does it Reverse Your Age?

During the last 20 years, there has been a lot of hype in the media about human growth hormone (HGH) and its anti aging properties. There are people who pay thousands of dollars to find the fountain of youth- but can growth hormone actually reverse aging?

Growth hormone is produced by a small gland (the pituitary gland) in the brain and is released into the body in small amounts. The maximal secretion of growth hormone occurs during childhood and is carefully regulated . Growth hormone is a potent anabolic hormone and is important for the growth of bone, muscle and tissues. By the time most individuals reach their 40s, the amount of growth hormone starts to decline.

There are many people, especially in the medical profession, who believe that the decline of growth hormone at this time period is responsible for aging. Wrinkles, fines lines and saggy skin have all been attributed to the decline of growth hormone. Such claims have inundated the internet creating a frenzy among people wanting to reverse aging. This has resulted in a growth in the marketing of growth hormone. It appears no one wants to get old and many people are seeking growth hormone injections. However, the evidence that growth hormone is the fountain of youth is non-conclusive or non existent. Only anecdotal reports exist- and these come mainly the manufacturers of HGH who have a vested interest in the hormone.

In clinical medicine, Human Growth Hormone is only available with a physician’s prescription and is administered intramuscularly as an injection. Growth hormone is often prescribed for people with documented growth hormone deficiency and is never prescribed to reverse aging. Growth hormone deficiency is most often seen when the pituitary gland is destroyed by brain tumors, surgery or radiation therapy. Individuals who often receive GH injections are those with short stature with a variety of medical conditions.

Human Growth Hormone injections are known to increase bone density, muscle mass and improve physical endurance. There are many individuals who have received growth hormone over a period of many years and yet all of them have aged; there is no scientific evidence where an individual receiving growth hormone had not aged. While it is accepted to administer HGH to individuals who have HGH deficiency, HGH is almost never prescribed to healthy individuals because it has potentially strong side effects.

As far as its anti aging abilities, there are none. Today there are many websites which also sell growth hormone as a pill that is said to produce the same effects as the injection. These growth hormone releasers are heavily marketed all over the internet. In all likelihood, the pill is broken down in the stomach and the protein is digested by the acids.

As far as we know, there is no conclusive evidence that HGH (Human Growth Hormone) has any anti aging abilities.. For individuals who want to remain young, the only treatment is to exercise, eat a healthy diet and leave the rest up to Time.
