Tea tree oil is an extract from the leaves of the melaluca alterbifolia plant. In the last decade, many health benefits have been ascribed to tea tree oil. In many tropical countries, tea tree oil has been sued for centuries to treat and prevent a number of skin disorders including infections. Some studies show that tea tree oil may have anti-bacterial properties. Some studies in humans show that tea tree oil may help eradicate fungal infections of the nail and athlete’s foot, vaginal infections and even acne. Unfortunately, there are just as many studies, which show that tea tree oil has no health benefits.
There is no formulation of tea tree oil that can be taken by mouth. Tea tree oil is only to be used for application on the skin. It should be avoided on open area of the skin, eyes, mouth, ears, and nose. The oil is also known to cause skin irritation and allergic contact dermatitis.
Can tea tree oil help my acne?
Although tea tree oil is widely sold to treat many skin ailments including acme, there is only weak evidence that it has any anti acne activity. However, in some people tea tree oil may decrease the skin redness associated with acne.
Can tea tree oil help cure my athlete’s foot?

Tea tree oil should not be applied on the breast or nipples as it can be absorbed by the breast-feeding infant.

I am thinking of buying time release vitamins. Are they helpful?
No, time release vitamins are ideal for people who are forgetful, not compliant and ill. The time release vitamins once absorbed release a small amount of the vitamin over the course of 24 hours. However, these vitamins are many times more expensive and are of no practical use. If you are too lazy to take your vitamins, then you certainly are too lazy to exercise. For you the problem is not a time release vitamin but a kick up the backside.
Are whole grains good for health?
There is no doubt that whole grains are great for health because they contain many vitamins, minerals and fibers. You can eat cereal, whole grain bread, brown rice, bulgur, whole wheat pasta and so on. You can even add fruits to this diet. Unfortunately whole grains are not very appetizing or palatable. After a week of whole grains the food does become dull and monotonous. So the best method is to eat a little of the processed foods at the same time or take a break from whole grains every once in a while. If you are trying to lose weight, then you also need to eat less and start walking more.
Can I lose weight by drinking more water?
Well, many people seem to think that by drinking more water it can help get rid of the excess fat. This is a myth. If you drink water instead of the cola beverages, you do save a lot of calories. But if you continue to supersize your foods and do not exercise, drinking more water does not do anything. The only way you can lose weight by drinking water is if you do not eat anything else. This way you will lose weight within a week, but you will also end up in hospital completely dehydrated. Upon discharge you will also be faced with an enormous medical bill. If you want to lose weight, start to eat less and walk more.
Is there any medical benefit from using sea salt ?
Everyday people come up with crazy ides. Now the fad is to start consuming sea salt to avoid sodium intake. It is not known how this suggestion caught on, but it is without merit. Sea salt or salt from retail stores have no difference in their sodium content. They both do the same thing- Add some flavor to food.
What most people do not know is that we get very little salt from the shaker at home. Most of the salt we consume is already added to the variety of processed foods we eat on a daily basis. Salt is everywhere. For most healthy people the total amount of sodium should be no more than 1500 mg. For those who have heart disease, it should be 1,000 mg or less. Also important to know is that even if you cut salt, the blood pressure lowering is only modest. If you have bad genes, smoke, do not exercise and eat unhealthy foods, cutting down on salt is not going to make a big difference in you life.

Is coffee bad for health?
There is no food or drink that is bad if you take in moderation and the same applies to coffee. In fact, there is clinical evidence to show that drinking one or two cups of coffee is not harmful to health. Reports seems to suggest that coffee contains antioxidants which can help reduce the risk of diabetes, Parkinson disease, gallstones, hemorrhoids, acne and so on. All this medical stuff about coffee is just nonsense. As far as weight loss is concerned, coffee does no such thing unless you only drink coffee and do not at any solid food. If you like coffee, drinking one or two cups a day is not harmful. The only advice I have is avoid 4-6 teaspoons of sugar and flavored syrup- this just add more calories. I love my coffee with cream and sugar. Try it. Also, you may ask yourself that is there any anti aging health benefit to drin

Can lasers be used to treat wrinkles
There are two main types of lasers used to treat wrinkles- ablative and non ablative. The only difference between the two is the intensity of the heat. In reality there is no difference because if a non ablative laser is used at high power for a prolonged time, it can do the same thing as ablative laser. The philosophy behind laser treatment for wrinkles is that heat generated penetrates the skin and restructures the underling tissues. The supporting tissues beneath the skin are stimulated to grow- this causes tightening of skin, evens texture and lessens wrinkles.
Lasers unfortunately do not work in one session. Depending on your wrinkles, you may need many sessions. The newer lasers also are less painful- they have tip which is automatically cooled so that you do not feel the heat as much. There are many types of lasers and the type may depend on your skin tone and intensity of wrinkles. There is no laser which can permanently cure your wrinkles but they can make your face looking young and pretty for several months. The one major downside to laser is the cost. If you have the money, then it is worth a try.

Can dermabrasion remove my wrinkles?
Well, it depends whom you speak to. Of course beauticians and cosmetologists say that the treatment works, but if you speak to consumers you get a different story. All dermabrasion involves is the use of a device which has a rotating brush that scraps of your superficial skin layers. Just like you use sand paper. The philosophy behind this approach is that once the old skin is removed, the new skin will grow and look younger and tighter in complexion. The treatment does have several adverse effects include redness and scab formation that may last a few weeks. Moreover keloids and skin breakdown is also common. The optimal results of dermabrasion often take months. Unfortunately the treatment is expensive, the results are not guaranteed and complications can be worse than your wrinkles.
Are there any non prescription creams to treat wrinkles?
The beauty industry is loaded with thousands of creams, lotions, potions, liquids, gels, foams, and ointments for the treatment of wrinkles. Unfortunately in 99.9999% of cases, the products have never been tested for their effectiveness. Celebs are often paid a lot of money to make unsubstantiated claims. Non prescription products that may work include creams that contain retinoids, Kinetin and copper peptides. However, in all non prescription products the concentration of retinoids is very low and unlikely to have any significant benefit on your wrinkles. The best these anti aging wrinkle creams will do for you is make you smell nice, erase some fines lines for a few hours and make you look pretty. If you are looking for a cure for your wrinkles, there is no non prescription cream that can do that. The majority of these products only act as camouflage agents.

Are there any medications to get rid of wrinkles?
Yes, in the last decade agents derived from vitamin A have been found to be excellent for treating a variety of skin disorders including fine lines and wrinkles. However, one needs to be realistic. These drugs do not cure wrinkles and do not work for the deep furrows and crevices on your face. They only erase the fine lines at best. The retinoids can also smoothen your skin, improve texture and make the skin appear young. The retinoids have also been found to be useful in treatment of acne and small areas of skin pigmentation. When you use these medications, you must also take other measures to protect the skin. This includes wearing a sunscreen and wearing protective garments when venturing outside the home. Side effects of the retinoids include excessive peeling and dryness of skin. Some individuals develop a burning sensation. These effects are transient and can easily be treated with a water-based moisturizer. Examples of retinoids that are available for wrinkles include Avage (tazorac) and Renova (retin A).
How does sun cause wrinkle formation?
Exposure to sun is known to induce premature aging and wrinkle formation. The rays of the sun contain ultraviolet radiation, which tends to speed up the natural process of aging. The UV light in the sun penetrates the skin and causes breakdown of elastin and fat deposits. This leads to loss of skin tone, lack of support and skin fragility. As the connective tissues get damaged, the skin starts to sag and wrinkles become prominent. This can all be avoided by not going out in the sun from 10 am to 4 pm. If one does go out, wearing sunscreen and protective garments is recommended.
Why does advanced age cause wrinkles?
With age, there are many physiological changes in the skin and surrounding tissues. As one gets older, the skin naturally loses its elasticity and tone. The skin also becomes thin and fragile. There is diminished production of natural oils that help protect the skin and make it look younger. Fat stores in skin generally disappear with age- these fat store help support the skin and maintain a plump and toned skin. Once the skin loses elasticity, wrinkles and crevices start to develop . Along the neck and upper arm, the skin may even start to sag.
Do wrinkles cause any symptoms?
In general, wrinkles and fine lines cause no physical symptoms. The only known symptoms are psychological- no one likes to see their face with wrinkles. Wrinkles can present as fine lines, deep furrows or crevices. They are most obvious around the eyes, neck, and corners of the mouth. Many people tend to develop wrinkles along the lines of laughter. Constant sleeping on one side of the face can also induce wrinkles along the cheek and mouth area.
Anyone who is concerned with wrinkles and has mental anguish should see a skin physician. While there are many non-healthcare professionals who are into treatment for wrinkles, these individuals lack professional training and have little idea about the skin physiology. Moreover, when complications occur, these non-healthcare professional have little idea what to do next. Best advice; seek help from a skin professional if you want to keep on looking young.

Why does one develop wrinkles?
Wrinkles are just a normal phase of aging. Everyone, if they live to be older than 40, will develop wrinkles. Asides from advanced age, the other most common caustreatments for wrinkleses of premature wrinkles are smoking and prolonged exposure to sun. Wrinkles tend to be most common the neck, face, forearms and hand. Although genes may play a role in formation of wrinkles, most people who develop wrinkles tend to have a great deal of sun exposure in childhood. Other factors that can predispose to wrinkle formation include extensive exposure to dust, smog, and extremes of temperature. For most people, wrinkles are not pleasing aesthetically, especially when they occur at a young age. However, today there are a number of . While none of them can cure wrinkles permanently, these treatments can somewhat erase them for a few weeks to a few months. The types of treatment for wrinkles vary from the use of Botox, use of dermal fillers and skin resurfacing with laser. Surgery is the last resort and also the most expensive.

Peptide Anti-Aging Facial Cream
I couldn’t wait to try out this absolutely fantastic Anti-Aging Facial cream. As the French would say, it is “La crème de la crème!” It is jam-packed with some of the best anti-aging ingredients known to mankind, so I ordered it online from Amazon and it came to my doorstep within a week. I absolutely love this antiaging cream! It’s called Peptide 6 Anti-Aging Facial Cream by Mango Madness Skin Care. It’s rich, luxurious and leaves my skin looking and feeling more youthful – softer than anything else I’ve tried.
Its ingredients include the maximum dosage of six of the most potent peptides currently available, including Argireline® and Matrixyl which are both stronger than the antiaging properties of Vitamin C and it works quicker than Retinol but without the side effects of Retinol. The peptides in this marvelous antiaging cream gave me a noticeable difference to my skin within a two week period. My wrinkles appeared shallower, my skin appeared stronger, less wilted than before. Peptides, you see, (the building blocks of proteins), in this cream made it all possible. The science also proves that peptides build collagen that substance we begin to lose as we age and lose the volume in the face.
The Peptide 6 Anti-Aging Facial Cream comes in a 30 ml, 1 oz jar and sells for just $59.00 and it’s worth every penny in my books. Peptides, the research shows are supposed to improve the depth of wrinkles, fill out lost facial volume and smooth the skin. How do they do this? They are the “messengers” of the natural daily process of tissue repair.
The following is a description of the actual peptides used in the Peptide 6 Antiaging Facial cream:
"Argirilene® is an anti-wrinkle inhibitor that will reduce pre-existing wrinkle depth and relax facial tension.
Leuphasyl compliments the action of Argirilene by modulating muscle contraction, especially beneficial for reducing depth of wrinkles around the eye and forehead areas. Octapeptide is an elongation of Argirilene. By extending and lengthening the muscle under tension, it reduces wrinkle depth in your skin.
Matrixyl 3000 contains 2 lipopeptides, which leads to the synthesis of new collagen. This peptide stimulates Collagen I, III & IV. It also increases elastin while repairing the skin matrix and epidermis.
Tripeptide, a safe, synthetic snake venom, temporarily debilitates the muscle, keeping it from contracting, thereby smoothing lines in wrinkle prone areas. These peptides can significantly modulate muscle contraction, thereby destabilizing the cell so it cannot release the neurotransmitters that make the muscle contract. This prevents the formation of lines and wrinkles."
Instead of heading to a cosmetic surgeon so fast, try Peptide 6, because it’s a safer, cheaper and milder option to consider before you begin to have Botox (Botulinum Toxin) injected into your face. Because it builds up volume and collagen, it’s much easier and cheaper as an alternative to Botox. Peptide 6 can also work on sun damaged skin and help repair the aging that comes with that situation.
You can use Peptide 6 Anti-Aging Facial Cream as both your day cream and your night repair cream. I’m absolutely loving this one and found it of a higher quality than the store-bought antiaging creams I’ve used before. I doubt I’ll ever go back to anything else.
